Vitoria Regia Quartzite is a natural quartzite from Brazil. The material takes its name from the natural wonder “King Victoria”, a giant aquatic plant with large round leaves that floats in the muddy waters of the Amazon River.

In fact, the large circular shape of the surface of the Vitoria Regia Quartzite is reminiscent of this plant.

Looking closely at the Vitoria Regia Quartzite slab, one can clearly notice the glassy contours of the lava pillow, the deformation caused by the weight of so many stacked stones, and the matrix of silt and sand that binds the air bubbles into a single unit.

These bubbles resemble green speckled clouds, have a different circular shape, and appear to float, almost as if they are suspended at a greater depth.The colors of the lava bubbles remind us of moss and forests and give us a sense of calm.We can notice that the dark green shades between the individual clouds give some depth to the scene, as if the clouds tend towards infinity.
