The goal is not to make one fabricator responsible for the entire project. It is to prevent a shared seam, return, cutout, alignment line, or adjacent component from becoming an undocumented gap between two otherwise correct fabrication packages.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>A Natural Quartzite project is divided between two fabricators.<\/p>\n<p>Fabricator A produces the island. It is interface control.<\/p>\n<h2>Do Not Let Two Drawing Revisions Meet at One Seam<\/h2>\n<p>Each fabricator may have its own fabrication package, but the shared interface should point to one current coordinated basis.<\/p>\n<p>For example:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Interface I-03 \u2192 Drawing Revision 05 \u2192 Pieces A-07 + B-02 \u2192 Seam Detail S-03<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If a drawing changes, identify whether the revision affects:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>only Fabricator A;<\/li>\n<li>only Fabricator B;<\/li>\n<li>the shared interface; or<\/li>\n<li>both fabrication packages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Do not assume a revision issued to one fabricator automatically reaches the other.<\/p>\n<p>This is especially important after a change order. and<\/li>\n<li>substitution approval status.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For slab-sensitive projects, the material allocation should connect actual boards to finished components rather than allowing each fabricator to interpret the material reference independently.<\/p>\n<h2>Use One Piece-ID Language Across Both Fabricators<\/h2>\n<p>Fabricator A may prefer one numbering system and Fabricator B another.<\/p>\n<p>Internally, that may be manageable.<\/p>\n<p>At project level, however, every finished component should have an unambiguous reference.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background: #f8f5ef; Natural stone appearance, fabrication, installation conditions and the approved project detail all affect the final result.<\/p>\n<h2>Finish Matching Needs a Common Reference<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cHoned\u201d written on both purchase orders does not automatically prove that two independently fabricated packages will present identically.<\/p>\n<p>Where adjacent surfaces are visually sensitive, the project can use a common approved reference such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>an identified sample;<\/li>\n<li>an agreed surface reference;<\/li>\n<li>current project photographs;<\/li>\n<li>documented finish terminology; or<\/li>\n<li>another project-specific approval basis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The goal is not to claim perfect visual identity between independently processed natural-stone pieces.
