About Iron Red Granite

Iron red granite, the main component of the continental crust, is an igneous rock formed by condensation of magma below the surface of the earth, and is a deep intrusive rock. It mainly exists in the form of minerals such as quartz or feldspar. The etymology of iron red granite is the Latin granum, which means grain or granule. Iron red granite is named because it is a plutonic rock that often forms well-developed mineral particles that are recognizable to the naked eye. Iron Red Granite is not easy to weather, beautiful in color, and can maintain its appearance for more than 100 years. Due to its high hardness and wear resistance, it is also the preferred material for open-air carving in addition to high-grade architectural decoration projects and hall floors.

The processing process of iron red granite

The surface is very smooth, highly polished, has a mirror effect, and has a high gloss. Iron red granite, marble, and limestone are usually polished and require different maintenance to maintain their luster.

Iron Red is a deep red with black and grey straight veins exotic granite quarried in Brazil. This stone is especially good for Counter tops, vanity tops, bar tops, stairs, wall and floor tiles and other design projects. It also called Iron Red Extra Granite, Red Iron Granite,Iron Red Quartzite.

This fancy granite is all about the lighting! In dark lighting, you’ll find the stone appears more black than red, but when the natural light shines on the surface, you’ll see the beautiful swirls of  red.

As each stone is unique, sizes will vary upon availability. Average slab size is 80” x 40” – 120” x 70”. Tiles or special sizes may be available upon request.
